Future Drawings

Inked onto dense watercolor paper, these Circles of the Future are drawn by hand using a complex marking system that swaps the present with the future with each rotation of the artist’s hand. Each document has its outer edges stitched tightly with a crimson thread, securing the futuristic ellipses in position, guarding against any potential drift into obscurity. The intricate and dense compositions hint at a future that is boundless, unresolved and elliptical. 

Dense. Thick. Intricate. The future is circular.
