With a slightly askew attitude, a lightly trimmed mustache and asymmetrical hair — this figure navigates the world one moment at a time. He gazes into an intricately drawn orb, created with dense blacks and purples. This new work by Carter was penned with Black-Cat ink, onto sturdy, acid-free watercolor paper and sewn at its edges with a bright purple thread. The corners are classically rounded with a hand-punch and delicately sewn to fit it’s softer contours. A strategically placed ink-wash picks up some of the intricacies of this figures hair.

With a generous size of 9 x 12 inches, this peculiar portrait is the first of several to come in a newly designed series!
