Blank Figure (Over the Shoulder Hair) -- SECOND in the series.
Blank Figure (Over the Shoulder Hair) -- SECOND in the series.
With a prominent nose and a casually trimmed mustache — this figure has locks for days, some of them elegantly cascading over his shoulder. He gazes into an intricately drawn orb, this one created with multicolored inks with just a hint of shine and glitter. This new work by Carter was penned with Black-Cat ink, onto sturdy, acid-free watercolor paper and sewn at its edges with a bright purple thread. The corners are classically rounded with a hand-punch and delicately sewn to fit it’s softer contours. A strategically placed ink-wash picks up some of the intricacies of this figures hair.
With a generous size of 9 x 12 inches, this peculiar portrait is THE SECOND FIGURE in this newly designed series of TEN designs.
Next piece in the series will be released shortly. Be sure to circle back.
